D/GENERATION
Working as a courier in the future may not be filled with excitement, but it at least gives you a chance to see the world. At least that's what you thought when you took the job. But all of that changed when you were handed to assignment of taking a package to the Genoq building in Singapore. What seemed a simple task, taking the package to the scientist Derrida, has turned into a nightmare. Derrida's experiments in artificial life have taken over the building. Now you, armed only with your wits and whatever you find along the way must find Derrida and deliver the package, save as many trapped people as you can, and ultimately, save the world from the horrible constructions of the lab.
D/Generation is an action game were every move you take leads you further and further into the nightmare of the Genoq labs. You will have to arm yourself and battle your way through 10 floors of combat loaded not only with tricky enemies, traps and security devices and puzzles. The game uses an isometric point of view, which allows for views of all of the rooms of every level and maximum control.
As you progress from floor to floor, the puzzles become more and more intricate. Additionally, the enemies get more and more devious. The simple A/Generation creatures are slow, and can be killed by simple hits from your laser. B/Generations are faster and more deadly, but are still killed with a single accurate laser shot. The C/Generations are much more difficult, in that they are immune to laser fire and can disguise themselves as virtually anything in your environment. The horrifying D/Generation appears only at the end of the game, thankfully. Throughout, you'll need to avoid or destroy shock plates, trackers, plasma barriers and more. Secrets abound, and death lurks around every corner. Fortunately, you gain an extra life for every innocent person you rescue.
